A required score above 100% means the target is mathematically unreachable under the weights entered unless extra credit or another grading adjustment is available. A result below 0% means you have already secured the target even with a 0% on the final, assuming the weights are correct.
Your completed work supplies 86 × 0.70 = 60.2 points toward the overall grade. To reach 90, the final must supply 29.8 points. Divide by its weight of 0.30: 99.33% required.
If the required score is above 100%, the target is out of reach under the assumed grading weights.
The entered current grade must summarize only the non-final portion of the course. Extra credit, curved exams, and minimum-exam rules are not modeled.
